Lightricks, the visual AI innovators responsible for Facetune, LTX Studio, and Popular Pays, attracted increased attention recently when they released a new video generation model, LTX Video (LTXV 0.9). The arrival of a new video model is always an exciting event, but the choice to release it under an open source license has attracted even more interest.
I feel like they open-sourced it because they weren't making any money from it, because no one was organically using LTX Studio (just paid "influencers" to shill it). I've never seen a movie or episode made with this thing - never won any AI Film Festivals with it. They caved and shifted to Google Veo 3. The only thing LTX Studio had going for it was their design and they stole that from Saga which launched in 2021. These guys don't know anything about filmmaking.
