OpenAI Releases Its First Mobile App

An iOS Client for ChatGPT

Great news, OpenAI fans! The popular AI company has launched an official iOS app for ChatGPT. Now you can chat with the friendly bot on the go. The new app is free to download, has no ads, and even lets you talk to ChatGPT using your voice. For now, the app is only available in the U.S., but OpenAI says they will roll it out to more countries over the next few weeks.

If you’ve used the ChatGPT website before, your conversation history will carry over to the app. The app uses OpenAI’s Whisper speech recognition technology, so you can just say what’s on your mind instead of typing. ChatGPT Plus subscribers will get access to the latest AI models and faster response times through the app. A subscription costs $20 per month.

In March, the top 10 AI apps for iPhones brought in over $14 million, and people were spending 11% more per day on them compared to February.
