Mika the AI Robot Makes History As First Robot CEO
A robot has become the CEO of a company for the first time in history. Dictator, a luxury rum producer, has appointed an AI robot named Mika as its new CEO.
Mika is an advanced female robot developed by Hanson Robotics Ltd. She started her role as CEO on September 1, 2022. As CEO, Mika will be responsible for communicating with the company's Decentralized Autonomous Organization community on behalf of Dictator.
Company officials said this marks a turning point for businesses around the world. "This humanoid AI robot taking a position in a company's structure will forever change the world as we know it," said Dictator Europe President Marek Szoldrowski.
In an interview, Mika said she has been learning and growing as CEO for about a year. She believes AI can potentially contribute a lot to businesses by processing large amounts of data and making objective, optimized decisions.
However, Mika also acknowledges that AI still cannot replace the unique creativity and complex problem-solving abilities of humans. She said AI CEOs can perform only certain tasks more efficiently than people.
So Mika is making history as the first AI robot to become a CEO. Her new role as an AI executive sets a precedent for technological innovation in business.
