LinkedIn Testing New Generative AI for Writing Posts
LinkedIn is testing a generative AI feature that could make it much easier for users to generate engaging posts on the platform. The new technology aims to streamline the posting process by automating part of the writing.
According to Keren Baruch, Director of Product at LinkedIn, users simply need to provide a 30-word outline of the post and the AI will produce an initial draft. Users can then review, modify and improve the AI-generated draft before sharing it with their network.
The professional networking giant says creating captivating posts can often take a lot of time, so this new AI tool looks to simplify and speed up the posting process.
LinkedIn stresses that responsible testing and gathering user feedback will be critical to refine the AI feature and address any issues. The company is committed to a safe rollout of the new technology.
The AI tool for post writing is just one of many ways LinkedIn is leveraging generative AI to enhance user experience. The platform has also recently introduced an AI-powered tool to assist marketers in creating advertisements.
Chief Product Officer Tomer Cohen revealed plans to make the AI advertisement tool available to all LinkedIn Premium subscribers, highlighting how the company hopes to benefit users through its AI initiatives.
