Google Launches Generative AI Tools to Boost Ads Platform
Google has introduced a range of generative AI tools within its advertising platform to help businesses customize ads and streamline product listings.
The announcements come shortly after Google launched Bard, its version of an AI-powered chatbot to rival OpenAI's ChatGPT. Google has been beefing up its generative AI capabilities recently, also adding enhancements for Search and Perspectives.
The new AI tools are important for Google and parent company Alphabet, which saw advertising revenues drop for the second quarter in a row ending March 2023.
One of the key features is Product Studio, a tool using generative AI to assist merchants in creating product images. The tool allows businesses to customize product scenes for different marketing needs - seasonal campaigns, experiments, etc.
Product Studio enables users to replace backgrounds in images with a plain backdrop and increase image resolution without reshooting. Initially, Product Studio will be available for merchants in the United States. The tools will also be accessible for businesses using Google and YouTube apps on Shopify.
The generative AI enhancements aim to streamline the process of creating high-quality product listings and ads, helping businesses connect with customers more effectively through Google's advertising platform.
The new tools demonstrate Google's continued focus on generative AI and machine learning to provide value for advertisers and marketers.
